BMX Bike Park Becomes a Reality

On June 5, 2010 the Orangeville Lions Club and the Town of Orangeville celebrated the official opening of the new BMX Bike Park.  The park is located on town property near the Alder Street Recreation Centre.

Lions committee co-chairs Frank Gray and Dave Ferrier worked with the park builders, local contractors and businesses to take the empty lot and approximately 135 tandem trucks of clay and turned it into a facility that will be used by Orangeville residents in the years to come.

Even prior to its official opening the park has proven to be a hit for town youth as well as adult riders interested in both recreational riding and competitive BMX racing.
