Melvin Jones Fellowships

 The Orangeville Lions Club and Lions Clubs International are extremely proud to recognize Lion Fred Giles and Lion Bill Theeuwen who were each named a 2005 Melvin Jones Fellow.  This honour is presented in recognition of their dedication to make the world a better place through humanitarian service.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship is presented after Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Clubs International.  This is the highest form of recognition in Lionism.

Lions Fred and Bill are both Past Presidents of the Orangeville Lions Club, they have also served at the District level of Lions and in many capacities in our local community.  As a permanent recognition, the names of these Lions have been added to an electronic listing of all individuals worldwide who have received this honour.  Their names show in continuous rotation at the Lions Clubs International Worldwide Headquarters.
